In America, according to the Constitution, we have the right of freedom of speech and freedom of assembly. I’m grateful to God to live in a country that made that type of provision in the basic legal document that is the foundation of the politics and governance of this society. Why did the founding fathers say “freedom of speech” was necessary? When you have government that tells lies to the people and manipulates fear in the people to accomplish agendas that are not necessarily in the best interest of the people, “freedom of speech” will allow one to speak truth to power to save the citizens from the deceptive practice of wicked government.
